Performance requirements of HEV power source

The power performance requirements for the HEV power source are shown below.

A: High-power output
B: Acceptance for high energy regenerative
C: Uniformity characteristic by cell level

Kinds of HEV power sources

The same battery and capacitor as that in the PEV power supply/source are being used as the power supply/source for thr HEV. The batteries used are the room-temperature operation types. The HEV can be categorized into series HEV and parallel HEV. The four kinds of system used or examined are as follows.

2: Strong-HEV
3: Mild-HEV
4: ISG-V (Integrated Starter and Generator Vehicle)
